LLC Reading List for 2008

Hello everyone. I've posted a PDF version of the new book list for 2008 on the Region's web site. You can access by clicking this link, or go to www.abcnw.org and then "Pastor's Resources" and you will find the link there under "LLC Reading List for 2008." Let Clint or me know if you have questions about the list. There are several notes on the list for you to review.
You will note that the list is shorter for '08, but there is a long list of supplementary books to choose from if your LLC is on schedule, or ahead of schedule. I want to remind you that reading "leadership" books and "church transformation" books continues to be a high priority. The reason, as Bill Hoyt has explained, is this is remedial work we are doing. Also, when we are all reading the same books we are developing a common language across the entire region, a short hand of ideas for those times when we come together for mutual learning and encouragement. I sincerely believe that one of the factors that will help us shift our churches towards health and mission focus is an entire shift of the Region's culture. Reading these particular books together all across the region is one, among several strategies for doing so. Hope you find this list works for you. If not, let us know right away.

Good books. I like the catch-up and ahead options.
I also appreciate the two month approach on March-April.
What out for those deer.

Thanks! We appreciate you getting the list out to us. We really enjoyed "Leveraging Your Leadership Style" this month and found it enlightening in understanding our own leadership style, but also seeing the need to understand others. We found the book to be of great value. Most of our pastors will be using the profile with their own leadership. Tim had already incorporated it into a sermon, and profiled his entire congregation.

Now we're reading Bill Hoyt's book.

Thanks again,
Ron
