Merry Christmas from Worth and Jim in Central Washington. I (Worth) thought I would share with you the reminder that I posted on our LLC blog. It is a great reminder for each of us during this stressful time of the year.
"The Christmas season is usually full of excitement, hurriedness and cramped pack calendars. This means that our days are filled with work, work and more work. Too often in the hustle and bustle we don't have time for our self care. I want to remind you of something Parker Palmer wrote, "self care is never a selfish act -- it is simply good stewardship of the only gift I have, the gift I was put on earth to offer to others." (Let Your Life Speak, pg 30). I encourage you to make this Christmas a different Christmas by taking time for your self care. I encourage you to find the time to be quiet with Jesus and let him speak words of refreshment into your life. I encourage you to get some physical exercise in. Take a walk and if its too cold, journey to the mall and take 20 minutes or more to walk moderately around before you start shopping. We all need exercise to help with the stress of the Christmas season. Please remember to care for your self. Your family needs you and your congregation needs you. The best thing you can do for them is to take time to care of you. Just a few ramblings to encourage you this Christmas."
Merry Christmas to each of you and may this Christmas season fill your life with joy that overflows from you to others so that you may share with them the good news that A Savior has been born.

Thank you Worth.
With over a dozen services to plan and implement in December- I need to be reminded to do self care.
